Back again for my second blog post on training! Last week i did 1 track session and 1 grass session (300m reps and 2min reps) as shown below.
Another solid week in the diary, hopefully i will be able to carry over my fitness into this next week where i will be racing twice in 5 days!
T. 20min w.up jog- 12x300m in 45-46secs with 100m jog recovery (1min)-20min w.down jog (Felt good on this session, tried to hit 30secs for the first 200m and cruise in the last 100)
F. 20mins w.up jog- 10x2mins hard, 90secs easy on grass in spikes- 20mins w.down jog (2min efforts felt long today, its surprising how long 2mins feel when your trying to run really hard!)
Jonesy has started to give me just 1 run a day for the next few weeks which should allow me to feel fresher for my harder sessions and hopefully help me with my racing over the next month or so.
Easy runs were approximately 5.55-6.10pace, hard sessions were 'eye balls out'
